Inclement Weather
The Council will notify via its website and email if a ground is closed, it is expected that clubs check the website/email on a daily basis. On occasions where the ground is closed the training lights will not turn on. If a club or association is found to be using a sports ground that is closed, it will jeopardize future use of any of the Council's facilities.
Please note that the information contained on this website is accurate only for closures on weekdays (excluding public holidays). Council may on occasions close or re-open grounds at short notice on weekends, it is suggested that contact be made with your Club and/or Association to verify whether scheduled weekend games have been cancelled or relocated due to ground closures or other factors as determined by the Association.
Further Information
All Council grounds are inspected regularly to determine if weather or other factors have deemed them unsuitable for use. For information on ground closures please call Parks Admin on 6238 2885 (or for after hours sports ground closures please call 6278 0200 for the duty officer).
Sports Ground Renovations
Twice a year Council undertakes major ground renovations to ensure fields remain in good playing condition. These renovations take place at the end of March and for a period between August and October (this may be between 2 weeks and 8 weeks depending on ground and weather conditions).
