The City of Hobart plays an important role in fostering creativity and artistic expression.

We do this through the Creative Hobart Grants, and the public art expression of interests (EOIs) and initiatives.

The City priorities are to invest in:

  • activating outdoor and indoor public spaces
  • employing artists
  • engaging local community in participatory experiences.

We have a range of creative platforms for the community to freely express themselves. This includes The LOOP, Soapbox Billboards, Urban Art Walls and Signal Boxes.
