Grants and funding
The City of Hobart grants program supports community-driven activities that make a real difference for people and communities. Our grants can help bring your idea or project to fruition.
Through cash and resource grants we invest in activities that enhance our community and culture and shape the social and economic life of the city.
We seek to award a mix of grants that meet the diverse needs of the community and business in Hobart. We fund activities that represent excellent value for the level of cash support requested and do not duplicate existing services or grants provided by other organisations.
We offer three different rounds of grants across a number of programs:
- Quick Response Grants - open all year round
- Biannual Grants - open in February and August
- Annual Grants - open in June
Our grant programs are listed below – click on the most relevant link for the grant you wish to apply for. Each grant program has specific guidelines detailing program objectives, eligibility information and assessment criteria.
Our new Grants Program Overview Document should be read in conjunction with each grant guideline and is a good place to start before beginning your application. View the Grants Program Policy which sets out the City’s approach to managing the City of Hobart Grants Program.
