Spring activity program
The season of growth and renewal gives us lots of great reasons to get outside, to explore, learn and enjoy our magnificent bushlands. The flowers are blossoming, our wildlife are becoming more active and the new generations of native wildlife are beginning to appear.
Look inside for all the details on our Spring program
• Bush Kids will be exploring Hobart with our favourite Flora the Explorer program, and discovering the creatures who call the gumtrees home.
• Our 5-7 Bush Kids will be learning about animal homes with "Whose Habitat", dipping for "Wonderful Waterbugs" and exploring the bush on two wheels with "Wheel to the Waterfall".
• We also have new activities for the 7-10s where they can search Hobart’s bushland for its secretive fauna in both "The Arthropod Expedition" and "In Pursuit of the Platypus".
• Go Wild, Go Solo will be blazing the trails with the "kunanyi/Mt Wellington Peak to Park Hike" and testing their limits with "Bush Circus" at Waterworks Reserve.
This Spring we also have a fantastic family program for all ages. In September we’re celebrating Threatened Species Day with some special threatened species of Tasmania programs. Join us in October for National Bird Week and Childrens’ Week, where our special bird-tastic programs can get your family into a flutter! Pollinator Week and National Recycling Week in November will give your family the opportunity to buzz around the bush finding pollinators. There are activities and adventures for every age group to enjoy.
