“There is something of the marvellous in all things of nature.”
Let nature be part of your story making this summer as you create magical memories exploring and enjoying Hobart's diverse and beautiful bushland reserves.
There are games at the beach as we create life-size whales in the sand and search for life amongst the rock pools. From the beach we follow the rivulets up the mountain learning along the way. Who is thriving , who’s just surviving, and how can we help clean and protect our precious waterways. Off into the bush, we have amazing races to challenge you, discovery walks to delight and bird-inspired dance workshops to shake your tail feather to.
For teenagers, there are two expeditions on the mountain, where we’ll hike and bike to the majestic Wellington Falls and navigate our way through the giant boulders to seek out the remote jewels of Thark Ridge.
For adults looking to deepen their knowledge of nature and some of the challenges of our times with special expert presentations and workshops both in the city and on the mountain.
As always our bushland reserves are open for all to explore and enjoy. And remember the simple choice of spending more time in nature will do you a world of good.
