To apply for a grant you need to register with SmartyGrants. Visit SmartyGrants or click the 'Apply now' button from a grant below, and then click 'Log in'. From the page that is displayed you can register as a user with SmartyGrants and start your application. You can also preview the application form.

Local Business for a Better Community Grant
The Local Business for a Better Community Grant is available to small businesses in the City of Hobart to present activities that engage Hobart customers.
The Local Business for a Better Community Grant Guideline(PDF, 1MB) outlines the application process, eligibility and assessment criteria.
Amount: up to $5000
Funding to support projects commencing after 1 July 2022
Applications open: Monday 7 February 2022
Applications close: 5 pm Monday 7 March 2022
Notification of outcome: May 2022
- Activity starts between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023
- Activity ends no later than 30 June 2024

Each meeting is for up to one hour on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the period applications are open, and take place either over the phone or via an online Microsoft Teams session.
