Council and Committee meetings

Please note: Council meetings have returned to in-person meetings in the Council Chamber. A COVID-19 Safe Plan has been developed for in-person Council and Committee meetings. As physical distancing and maximum density have reduced capacity in the Council Chamber, the best place to watch is via the City of Hobart's YouTube Channel.

The Council and City Planning Committee generally meet twice a month and other Council committees meet once a month.

Copies of agendas for open meetings are available at the meeting or beforehand on this website or the Town Hall reception. Agendas are available to the public four days (or in the case of special meetings, two days) before each meeting date.

Minutes of meetings are available on this website once they have been endorsed and signed at the next ordinary meeting.

An Auslan interpretation service can be arranged for meetings with advance notice. Please contact 03 6238 2720 if you would like to arrange this service.

The full Council meeting schedule is advertised annually in The Mercury in January, and is available on the website at any time on the Meeting Schedule for Council and Committees page. These dates may change so always double-check closer to the date of the meeting you are interested in.
