Public Toilet Strategy 2015–25 - project update

The City of Hobart Public Toilet Strategy outlines projects from 2015 to 2025. A number of projects have been completed, with further projects scheduled for the 2018-19 financial year listed below:

Upcoming works

The following works are scheduled to be undertaken or commenced during the 2018-19 financial year:

  • Swan Street – toilet upgrade and refurbishment
  • Fern Tree Park
  • Queens Domain Summit
  • West Hobart Recreation Ground
  • Long Beach – planning & design for works in 2019-20

Works will likely commence at different stages throughout the financial year. All projects are likely to see closures of facilities at certain times. We thank the public for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience.

Works underway

The following works are currently underway:

  • Soldiers Memorial Oval, Community Hub, Queens Domain – construction of a new facility as part of the Community Hub project
  • Washington Street Playground – internal refurbishment with improved access
  • Domain Athletics Centre – internal refurbishment
  • Argyle Street Car Park – construction of a new facility
