Central Hobart Car Park Toilets and Parenting Room Upgrade

Hobart Central car park toilet facilities upgrade

As part of its Public Toilet Strategy 2015-2025 aimed at improving Hobart’s public toilet infrastructure, the City of Hobart will be upgrading the Central Hobart car park toilets and parenting room from Monday 6 January until late March 2020.

The project will include the internal refurbishment of the female, male and accessible toilets as well as the baby change and parenting room. When complete the facilities will have a new contemporary layout, toilet furniture, fresh tiles and fittings.

The toilets will be closed during the construction period. Temporary toilets will be available at the Melville street end of the car park, next to the exit.

The baby change and parenting room will remain open until its upgrade scheduled for the last 2-3 weeks of the project. The nearest alternative facilities are located in the Argyle Street car park, at Centrepoint and at Myer.

There will be no changes to car park operations during the works.
