Published on 07 December 2018

The City of Hobart is proud to announce the latest Small and Medium Community grant recipients in the area of Events, Creative Hobart and Community.

26 organisations, groups and individuals have received funding totalling almost $210,000 to deliver projects in our communities. The supported projects will occur in South Hobart, Salamanca and the Waterfront, New Town, the CBD, Sandy Bay, the Domain and North Hobart; and engage a wide range of audiences including children and family, youth, older people, migrant communities, less resourced communities, the arts community as well as a general audience.

Compared to previous rounds, there was a notable increase of applications from broader social groups, with projects from Chinese, French, Palestinian groups as well as applications dealing with refugee and new migrant experiences in Hobart.

The creative projects include music, dance, performance, ceramics, film and screen and visual arts.
