Future of Toys: Youngies & Oldies

Future of Toys

A room full of inventions birthed from the deepest wisdoms of the oldies and the free flowing optimism of young minds. Plastic dump trucks and doll houses melted into new elaborate contraptions.

11 young people and 11 elders from around nipaluna, aged 7-12 years and 70+ have joined together to repurpose old toys using experimental plastic recycling machines. Through their work, you can start to piece together reflections of their current worlds and the importance they place on love and acceptance for each other, and care and custodianship for our precious local ecosystems.

As memories fade, and little minds soften, this work captures the futures these wise souls hope to cultivate and to leave behind. Come and celebrate what these wise ones have made.
