City of Hobart Dark Mofo Winter Feast Community Day (Sunday 15 June)
Yep, it's a mouthful, but so are the delights on offer at the Winter Feast and for one day only it's free entry!
Through a sponsorship from the City of Hobart, anyone can rock up to PW1 on the Community Day Sunday and enjoy the delights of the more than 70 stallholders at this world class event.
Of course, the Winter Feast will also be up and running from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 June and Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 June.

Hobart's premier winter cultural and tourism event is back!
Running from Thursday 5 to Sunday 15 June with the Solstice Swim on Saturday 21 June, celebrating the darkness through bold art, music, and fire.
While known for its edgy and provocative themes, the festival also includes family-friendly highlights like the Winter Feast, interactive installations at Dark Park, and the magical Ogoh-Ogoh ritual, offering a unique cultural experience for all ages.

Festival of Voices (Friday 27 June – Sunday 6 July)
Festival of Voices is Tasmania's iconic winter event that celebrates the unifying power of singing.
Since 2005, it has grown into Australia's leading singing festival, attracting around 30 000 people each year. Inspired by the tradition of gathering around a fire, the Festival offers concerts, workshops, and community singalongs across a range of music styles — from choral to contemporary and cabaret.
It's a vibrant mix of entertainment and learning, welcoming everyone to share in the joy of singing together.

Beaker Street Festival (Tuesday 12 August - Tuesday 19 August)
Beaker Street Festival is Australia's most imaginative celebration of science and culture, where scientists take centre stage and big ideas spark lively conversations in unexpected places.
Held each August in Tasmania, it features talks, adventures, and performances from leading thinkers and science communicators, all set against the stunning winter landscape.

Festival of Bright Ideas (Friday 22 August - Saturday 23 August)
The Festival of Bright Ideas is a lively, hands-on science festival in Hobart, where families, students, and curious minds of all ages can explore exciting exhibits that whiz, bang, fly, and even explode!
Held each August at Princes Wharf 1, it features over 30 STEM organisations and draws more than 5000 visitors across two days, with a special schools-only day and public sessions on Saturday that are fun, educational, and accessible to everyone.

Join the Cool August Blues 2025 on 30 August — a free blues festival in North Hobart featuring top Tasmanian and interstate artists.
Enjoy live blues all night across two venues: the Republic Bar and Big O's Juke Joint, hosted by the Hobart Blues Club.

Hot August Jazz (Sunday 31 August)
Hot August Jazz is a free community music festival celebrating its 21st year, featuring over 250 musicians from school bands, community groups, and professional acts.
Organised by the Hobart Jazz Club, the event is supported by local fundraising, venue contributions, volunteers and the City of Hobart to bring live jazz to North Hobart each August.

Get ready for a weekend of toe-tappin' fun at the Hobart Hoedown, Saturday 30 - Sunday 31 August 2025 at Hobart City Hall!
