Hobart's tracks and trails

The natural environments that surround Hobart are close by and easily accessible, with a network of tracks and trails suitable for walking and cycling.

Greater Hobart Trails

The Greater Hobart Trails website has information on the best walks and rides in greater Hobart. There are tracks and trails to suit everyone, from easy walks for the whole family to more challenging walks and rides for the more experienced.

The website provides information on where to walk; ride a bicycle, mountain bike or a horse; walk a dog; and push a wheelchair and pram. It also provides a general description of each track, the level of difficulty, estimated time, facilities, an interactive map, photos and an elevation profile of the track.

The Greater Hobart Trails website is an initiative of the Derwent Estuary Program in cooperation with the Tasmanian State Government, the City of Hobart and neighbouring councils Kingborough, Clarence, Glenorchy, Derwent Valley and Brighton.
