City centre mobility map
The City of Hobart city centre mobility map provides information about disabled access parking zones and toilets, steep gradients and rest spots around Hobart.

The City of Hobart provides courtesy wheelchairs at its Argyle Street car park to access shops within Hobart's city centre.
Hire periods are in 2-hour and ½ hour blocks. Hirers are required to show proof of identification and sign an indemnity form on hire.
Bookings can be made by calling 03 6238 2796 or (if available) upon request on the day.
Pensioner concession parking vouchers
We offer a book of parking vouchers to eligible pension card holders. These coupons last for one year and give you four hours of free parking in any of our multi-storey car parks on any one day per week. After the four free hours, normal rates apply.
To be eligible you must:
- be the registered operator of a motor vehicle (i.e. it must be registered in your name)
- receive an Australian Government pension, such as war widow, age, disability, single parent.
Documents that prove your eligibility must be shown each year at the Hobart Council Centre, 16 Elizabeth Street, Hobart.

Temporary accessible parking permit
A parking permit is available for those temporarily disabled (incapacitated longer than six months). It is administrated at our Hobart Council Centre, 16 Elizabeth Street, Hobart.
