The Council operates a monthly meeting cycle, which generally involves two meetings per month of the full Council and the Development and Environmental Services Committee, together with one meeting each month of the other Council committees.
Council meetings are open to the public who are welcome to sit in the public gallery. Copies of agendas for all open meetings are available either at the respective meeting or prior to the meeting from the Town Hall reception, located at the Hobart Town Hall via the Macquarie Street entrance.
Where practicable, and in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2005, agendas are made available to the public 4 days (or in the case of special meetings, 2 days) prior to the respective meeting dates.
Minutes of meetings are available once they have been endorsed and signed at the next ordinary meeting.
2013 Scheduled Meeting Dates*
Meetings are scheduled to commence at 5.00 pm and are held in the Council Chamber of the the Hobart Town Hall with entry available via the Macquarie Street entrance. Limited copies of the meeting agenda are available at the meeting.
In accordance with the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2005, meetings are advertised in The Mercury not more than 14 days beforehand.
