Morning Tea at Mathers House (Free)

When: 10 am Wednesday 29 November
Where: Mathers House, 108 Bathurst Street, Hobart

Come along and help us celebrate, have some cake, enjoy a cuppa and listen to live music at Mathers House.

Performance by Monique Brumby from 11 am.

Getting to the Venue

Mathers House is at 108 Bathurst Street Hobart. It is only two blocks from the Hobart bus mall and close to Hobart LINC, Bathurst Street Post Office and the city centre.

Mathers House is the first building as you enter Mather's Lane from Bathurst Street.

Parking

Mathers House is located at 108 Bathurst Street, close to the Hobart Central Car Park, which has free parking for the first 60 minutes.

Guide Dogs and service animals

Guide Dogs and service animals are welcome at Mathers House.

Wheelchair accessibility

There is level access at the front of Mathers House on the upper level.

Accessible bathrooms are available on the upper and lower levels of Mathers House.

Relaxed sharing of The STARE exhibition

When: 4.30 - 6.30 pm | Thursday 23 November
Where: TMAG Bondstore

For the Relaxed Sharing we will have support available for those who require it in the form of torches, introductory information explaining the journey through the exhibition, a lower overall volume, and staff to assist navigating the exhibition

The exhibition will then be open 10 am - 4 pm from Friday 24 November to Sunday 10 December (excluding Mondays).

IDPwD 2023 theme

The theme for IDPwD 2023 is 'United in action to rescue and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for, with and by persons with disabilities.'

The 2023 theme for IDPwD asks everyone to work together to make the world better and fairer for people with disability.

The theme talks about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are 17 things countries want to work on by the year 2030 to make the world better and fairer for everyone. It is important that people with disability are part of this work and have a big say in what happens. For more information visit the United Nations website.
