McRobies Gully mountain bike tracks

The Slides MTB Track

For a more adventurous ride explore tracks in McRobies Gully, South Hobart, by combining the Slides and Tip Top tracks.

Start from the car park at the top of Old Farm Road. Head through the gate and follow Main Fire Trail up the hill to the right. Once you reach the top of the hill, branch off to your right along Golden Gully Fire Trail, and you'll come to the start of Jurassic Shark (on your left).

Follow Jurassic Shark down into McRobies Gully, then back up Slides track. Once you hit New Town Fire Trail, turn around and ride it the other way, returning to the top of Jurassic Shark. If you want to add a bit more of a challenge to your ride, head to Tip Top track, otherwise take Main Fire Trail back to your starting point at Old Farm Road.

The entrance to Tip Top (Difficult - Black Diamond) is just a few metres away from Jurassic Shark. Ride Tip Top, staying alert for the steep rock chutes that will test your skills. Once you reach the end of the track, turn right and return along the fire trail, then head back down Main Fire Trail to your starting point at Old Farm Road.
