New Parking Meters
The City of Hobart has rolled out a new Integrated Parking System. The new system includes the installation of in-ground sensors to monitor vehicle movements and replacing on-street parking meters and voucher machines with multi-payment option parking meters at Salamanca Place, Dunn Place, Condell Place and Leroy Street car parks. The new parking meters allow customers to pay by coins, credit or debit cards, and a smartphone app – EasyPark.
Features of the new system
The EasyPark app is available for use on Android, Apple and Windows platforms. It allows to skip the meter and pay from anywhere. It also allows to top up parking to the maximum time allowed on the go and will send a notification advising the parking session is about to expire.
The City of Hobart is operating from a bay-based system with EasyPark in Hobart. Map functionality is not required to use the app, you only need to know the bay number of where you want to park. GPS functionality is an additional feature that may be available in future.

Credit or debit cards can be used on all new meters across the city centre. The minimum credit card transaction is $3.
Coin payment is available on all meters.
To have a unique number for each parking bay, the new system uses 3–4 digit numbers. The new numbers are displayed on the kerb.

Dial Before You Dig
