LGBTIQA+ Reference Group

Expressions of interest (EOIs) now open.

Do you live, study or work in Hobart Municipality? Join the City of Hobart's LGBTIQA+ Reference Group.

We are inviting expressions of interest from LGBTIQA+ community members and organisations to help shape a more inclusive city.

The Reference Group plays an important role in guiding how the city supports LGBTIQA+ people. Members provide input on the implementation of the Hobart: A City for All Action Plan and help identify future priorities.

As a member, you will:

  • provide input on key priorities and actions
  • share insights from your lived experience or community work
  • help shape focus areas such as discrimination, stigma, resilience and pride.

As a member, you can expect:

  • quarterly meetings
  • a collaborative and respectful space to share ideas
  • opportunities to advocate for inclusion at a city level.

We welcome applications from individuals and organisations across the LGBTIQA+ community, with a diversity of experiences and perspectives.

Submit your EOI

Submissions close 5 pm Friday 19 June 2026.

Beyond our legal obligations however, we are proud to support our LGBTIQA+ communities, as we are with all communities.

The following sites provide excellent information and resources for everyone regarding rights, responsibilities and obligations.
