Next date: Saturday, 21 November 2026 | 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

The Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant is back in all its colour and energy!

Get ready to celebrate on Saturday 21 November 2026.

Each year the Christmas Pageant brings thousands of people into the city to watch the colourful, festive parade, and this year's celebration will be no exception.

Terrapin

We are pleased to welcome renowned Tasmanian puppetry company Terrapin as the lead creative partner for this year's parade.

For more than four decades, Terrapin has delighted audiences in Tasmania, across Australia and around the world through contemporary puppetry, giant roving puppets, interactive installations and innovative theatre experiences.

Working with the City of Hobart, Terrapin will support participating community groups through a series of creative workshops, helping them develop imaginative and engaging floats for the parade. Terrapin is also creating a new large-scale puppet especially for the 2026 Pageant.
