The City of Hobart's vision for a safe, connected and comfortable network for cycling.

Over the past 20 years, Council has supported a range of cycling plans and initiatives. These include:

The Hobart Bike Plan 2026 consolidates the key cycling outcomes from all of these plans into a single, city-wide vision for Hobart – making it easier to understand priorities and deliver a more connected cycling network for all ages and abilities. You'll find a project list of the first priorities for delivery, with improvements hoped to be completed over the next five years (by 2030-31).

The plan also sets a clear target: to double the number of daily bike trips in Hobart to 10 000 by 2033.
