Reading Culture Forum

"How can we build reading culture in Tasmania?"

In collaboration with the University of Tasmania, the Tasmania Reads 2026: Reading Culture Forum explores this question by bringing together a diverse panel of experts and community leaders to look at what helps - and hinders - reading in our state.

The forum will unpack what national insights can tell us, what they might miss, and how Tasmania's unique communities, geography, and culture shape reading habits. Together, we'll look at practical ways to encourage reading for pleasure and strengthen a vibrant, inclusive reading culture across Tasmania.
