Hot weather can have serious impacts on our health and wellbeing, particularly for older adults, young children, people living alone, and those with existing health conditions.

Join the City of Hobart for a free community information session to learn how to prepare for extreme heat and stay safe during hotter summer days.

Hear from St John Ambulance Tasmania about recognising and responding to heat-related illness and learn about the City of Hobart's Heat Mapping Project, which is helping build a better understanding of heat across our city. The session will also feature information, resources and support from a range of local organisations.

Whether you're looking for practical tips to protect yourself, your family, neighbours or pets, this session will provide useful information to help you prepare for the summer ahead.

Date: Wednesday 18 November 2026.
Time: 5.30pm - 7.30pm.
Location: Mount Nelson Fire Station.

Light refreshments will be provided.
