Clare Street Oval
Clare Street Oval is used for cricket in summer and soccer in winter.
It is home to the New Town White Eagles Soccer Club and the New Town Cricket Club.
Two publicly accessible cricket nets, each with a synthetic surface, are available for training and casual use. Line marking includes a full‑size turf cricket pitch in summer and a senior soccer pitch in winter.
Change rooms and lighting are available to support organised sport and training.
The oval is next to Fairfield Playground.

Dogs
Dogs are not allowed on sportsgrounds or surrounding areas:
- while organised sport is being played
- while the area is being used by a school
- while City of Hobart maintenance is underway
- when the sportsground is booked for use.
Dogs are allowed off-lead at all other times.
Dogs are not allowed within the children's playground.
