Knocklofty Reserve

A couple of minutes walk from the city suburbs of West Hobart and Mt Stuart, you're in native bushland that spreads across the slopes and peak of Knocklofty.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed in all areas the provide sensitive habitat for wildlife, other than on-lead on managed tracks and trails or off-lead areas where designated.

The following restrictions apply to tracks and trails in the area between Forest Road car park, Poets Road, Fielding Drive reservoir and the walking track to the west:

  • Dogs are allowed off-lead between:
    • 6 am and 8 pm during daylight saving time
    • 7 am and 5 pm at all other times.
  • Dogs are allowed on-lead between:
    • 8 pm and 6 am during daylight saving time
    • 5 pm and 7 am at all other times.

All other tracks and trails of Knocklofty Reserve area on-lead at all times.
