Lake Fenton Pipeline Trail Upgrade
City of Hobart's contractor Downer Group will commence work to upgrade the Lake Fenton Pipeline Trail and associated drainage in late April 2019.
Weather depending, the works are planned to take approximately ten weeks. During this period, the Lake Fenton Pipeline Trail will be closed to public access from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
The works comprise limited vegetation removal from within the trail formation, minor realignment of the existing alignment, bulk earthworks, removal of redundant utility infrastructure, installation of rock fall mesh and formation of trail surface and drainage.
Construction access will be off Forest Road and regular truck movements will occur along the Knocklofty Main Firetrail.
For your own safety, please comply with site signage and remain out of the construction site at all times.
