Business Grants

The City of Hobart’s Storefront Excellence Program is designed to provide retailers with evidence-based advice and support to improve their visual merchandising and overall retail marketing.

Program participants will receive free expert advice from a visual merchandising specialist on their physical and virtual store/shopfront, and up to $2000 (ex. GST) for them to action any suggested recommendations.

Please note that funding will be limited to the first 30 eligible businesses in the City of Hobart who successfully submit an application.

Amount: This program provides financial support of up to $2000 (ex. GST) per application

Applications open: Wednesday 8 May 2024

Applications close: 3 pm Wednesday 12 June 2024 (or when the funding pool has been allocated)

Activity timeframe: Activity starts no sooner than one month and no later than six months after the submission date of the application.

Retailers Workshop

We will be holding a free workshop to help support retailers who wish to apply for the Shopfront Excellence program.

The workshop will be held from 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm, Tuesday 7 May 2024, in the Elizabeth Street conference room at the Hobart Town Hall. This will also be an opportunity learn more about the latest research in the field of retail marketing.
