Mellifont Street road resurfacing
The City of Hobart resurfaced the bottom section of Mellifont Street, West Hobart, in April and early May 2026.
The roadworks began on Thursday 16 April 2026 and were carried out over three stages.
Roads to recovery project
This project was jointly funded by the Australian Government's Roads to Recovery Program and the City of Hobart.
The program supports the construction and maintenance of the nation's local road infrastructure assets, which facilitates greater accessibility and improves safety, economic and social outcomes for Australians.
The Australian Government has contributed $236 336 to this project and the City of Hobart $207 562.
