Missed vaccinations

If your child has missed their dose at school or prefers to receive it at a pharmacy, authorised pharmacist immunisers, working in full-scope programs and approved by the Department of Health, can now administer SBIP vaccines. This is an excellent option for parents who are either hesitant about school immunisation or need to arrange catch-up vaccinations.

We recommend contacting the pharmacy beforehand to ensure the pharmacist immuniser is available and the required vaccines are in stock.

Change to HPV vaccine dose schedule

From 6 February 2023, the dose schedule for the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine will change to a single dose, and eligibility for the catch-up program will be extended up to and including 25 years of age under the National Immunisation Program (NIP). For more information please refer to the Fact Sheet from the Department of Health.
