The City of Hobart offers grants to assist small business by providing financial assistance for marketing activities and initiatives to creatively improve facades.
Currently, there are two grant categories available for eligible businesses.
The Shopfront Improvement Grant assists small business with matched funding (minimum of $1 invested by applicant for $1) of up to $5000 to make physical changes to their facade in an effort to encourage an improved streetscape and increased patronage.
The Local Trader Marketing Grant assists groups of traders who are working together to attract customers to their trading area. These grants are designed to encourage these groups to create and run marketing activities and events.
To find out more about each grant program, please see the guidelines as they become available.
If you have any questions around eligibility, please contact the Marketing and Business Engagement Officer on 03 6238 2434 or the Grants Officer on 03 6238 2132.
