Multicultural Hobart

Hobart has over 50 different languages spoken within the municipal area.

The City is continually striving to improve the wider community's awareness and understanding of the economic, educational, social and cultural benefits of multiculturalism and to mitigate the effects of racism and cultural isolation for multicultural communities in Hobart.  We are involved in activities that support and celebrate cultural diversity through the Hobart Networking for Harmony Committee, and in partnership with government and community organisations.

For more information, see our City of Hobart Multicultural Strategy.
