Mövenpick Hotel Hobart is continuing its heartfelt support for Hobart Women's Shelter (HWS), helping provide essential items to women and children in need through its participation in the global "Kilo of Kindness" initiative.
For the past two years, the hotel has partnered with HWS to collect long-life pantry goods and hygiene products, with staff and guests alike contributing to the cause.
The donations have amounted to hundreds of kilos of supplies—items that make a tangible difference for those experiencing homelessness or crisis.
Andrew Walling, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Hobart, said the campaign is a reflection of the hotel's deep commitment to community care.
"At Mövenpick, kindness is more than a value—it's a practice," Andrew said.
"Our team is proud to support Hobart Women's Shelter through Kilo of Kindness, and we're continually inspired by the generosity of our guests and staff.
The Kilo of Kindness campaign, now in its tenth year globally, will return from 13 October to 4 November in 2025, timed to coincide with World Kindness Week.

Mövenpick Hobart has already pledged its continued support.
Ruby Finlen Daft, Strategic Partnerships Manager at Hobart Women's Shelter, said the donations have helped meet critical needs for many families.
"The support from Mövenpick has been incredible," Ruby said.
"These contributions help us provide basic necessities to women and children who are rebuilding their lives.
"It's a powerful example of how local businesses can make a real impact."
The initiative aligns with the City of Hobart's Warm Hearts campaign, which celebrates stories of compassion and connection during the winter months.
Mövenpick's involvement exemplifies the spirit of the campaign, showing how small acts of kindness can ripple through a community.
"We're proud to be part of a city where kindness is a way of life," Andrew said.
"Through campaigns like Kilo of Kindness and Warm Hearts, we're reminded of the strength and warmth of our Hobart community."
