Sportsgrounds closures

All City of Hobart grounds are inspected regularly to make sure they are suitable for use.

The City of Hobart updates the status of all our sportsgrounds listed below on weekdays only (excluding public holidays).

On weekends please contact your club or association to find out if scheduled weekend games have been cancelled or relocated.

Inclement weather

If we close a ground due to weather, we will provides updates on this page and via email. When we do close a ground the training lights will not be turned on. If a club or association is found to be using a sports ground that is closed, you may not be permitted to use City of Hobart's facilities in the future.

The City of Hobart may close or re-open grounds at short notice on weekends.

Sportsground renovations

The City of Hobart undertakes major ground renovations twice a year to ensure fields are in good playing condition. These renovations take place at the end of March and for 2–8 weeks between August and October.
