The Access Map helps everyone explore the city with confidence:

Access Map

It highlights accessible parking, toilets, facilities, and tourism information. The information is in both the online and printed maps. This helps you plan your visit based on your individual needs, supports and interests.

Whether you are using a mobility aid or pram, have low vision, or simply want to know the most convenient route, the Access Map makes getting around easier for everyone.

  • Interactive map – search by location, zoom or select an accessibility feature.
  • Mobile and desktop friendly – works on smartphones, tablets, and computers.
  • Customisable filters – choose what's important to you.
  • Printable version – save or print a user-friendly PDF map with your selected places, coordinates and legend that guides you to the right location or request a large – print version or tactile map.
  • Points of interest – highlights accessible parking, hearing loops, accessible toilets (including MLAK and Changing Places), tourism places, bus stops, taxi stands, seating including wheelchair spaces and gradients.

Why it's important

Access to information means access to the city. The map is a practical tool that helps make inclusion real.

The map was created with input from people with disability and networks to make sure it reflects real experiences.

  • Option for audio directions and text to speech using Google Maps or Apple Maps.
  • Available in multiple formats.

How to get it

Community and collaboration

The Access Map has been created in partnership with the Hobart Access Advisory Committee, Elafent and Smart Access.

We will be reviewing and updating the map with community input throughout November and December, with a full update planned for early 2026. Please bear with us as we identify and refresh any gaps in the data.
