Reducing our energy use

We have improved the energy efficiency of our operations and buildings. We now save over $1 million a year in electricity costs alone.

We also reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 68 per cent from 2000 to 2020. Most of this reduction was through actions taken at McRobies Gully Waste Management Centre (The Tip) to reduce landfill gas emissions.

We have committed to a further reduction target of 20 per cent for greenhouse gas emission reductions from 2020 to 2030.

We conduct regular reviews of environmental issues across all of our activities. Our environmental management system that is third-party certified under ISO 14001.
