Public Open Space Contribution Policy

The purpose of this policy is to:

  • facilitate a strategic approach to the development of a contemporary and well-planned open space network.
  • clarify the process of determining when a public open space land contribution will be sought by the City of Hobart and when a cash in lieu contribution will be sought, from subdivision developments.
  • specify how funds gathered from public open space cash in lieu contributions are to be used.
