Lord Mayoral reception
The Lord Mayor of Hobart Councillor Anna Reynolds hosts receptions in the Lord Mayor's Court Room at the Town Hall.
Consideration for receptions is given to clubs and organisations who are celebrating significant occasions. This can include:
- launching a new project
- an organisational anniversary
- returning student delegations to national events
- other important events held in Hobart.
For multicultural communities wishing to celebrate a national or cultural day, the Lord Mayor may host a flag-raising event. This will be followed by a celebratory morning or afternoon tea.
Receptions are sponsored by the Lord Mayor. They last one hour and can accommodate up to 70 guests. Catering includes drinks and canapés.
To request a reception, please provide at least eight weeks' notice. This time allows for guest list development, invitation dispatch, and catering arrangements.
Make a request for the Lord Mayor to host a reception in her Court Room using the online form.
For civic functions for larger groups, clubs and organisations should contact the Office of the Lord Mayor at lord.mayor@hobartcity.com.au.
