Waterworks Valley Landcare Group

Bushcare Tools

Join the Waterworks Valley Landcare Group to smash Spanish heath, an invasive environmental weed.

The Waterworks Valley Landcare Group helps to restore the urban fringe from the sides of the valley to the banks of the Sandy Bay Rivulet.

Volunteers help to restore habitat and improve the natural and built amenity along Waterworks Road.

The group meets the first Sunday morning of each month 10 am – 12.30 pm.

Hobart's Bushcare groups are run by volunteers, and new members are always welcome. They all work with the City of Hobart caring for local reserves.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and learn a new skill, meet new people and help make a difference to your local bushland.

You don't need any experience – expert training, tools and equipment are all provided. Just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Please bring

Enclosed shoes, warm waterproof clothing, sunglasses, a hat and a drink.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Bushcare activities are cancelled on days of total fire ban, high winds or heavy rain.
