Meet the Ridgeway Bushcare Group and smash Spanish heath weed
Meet the Ridgeway Bushcare Group at Ridgeway Park to help reduce the impact of weeds at this beautiful park.
Ridgeway Park has several different eucalypt communities supporting a rich and varied natural environment.
The group meets every first Sunday, 10 am - 12.30 pm, every second month.
Hobart's Bushcare groups are run by volunteers, and new members are always welcome. They all work with the City of Hobart caring for local reserves.
Everyone is invited to come along and learn a new skill, meet new people and help make a difference to your local bushland.
You don't need any experience – expert training, tools and equipment are all provided. Just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
Enclosed shoes, warm waterproof clothing, sunglasses, a hat and a drink.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bushcare activities are cancelled on days of total fire ban, high winds or heavy rain.
