Drawing Machines workshop

Systematic_banner_TrickyWalsh.jpg

Participants will work with an array of new and found materials to create drawing machines! These ‘machines’ will range from the simple to the ridiculous and sophisticated…experimental attitude is a must.

This workshop is part of a series of four run by artist Selena de Carvalho this October, exploring creative exercises that interpret different forms of systems.

Supported by the City of Hobart, these are collaborative, multi-art form workshops responding to the exhibition Systematic and are suited to children aged 8-16.

Selena de Carvalho is an award winning experimental artist, whose practice responds to notions of personal ecology and human interaction with the environment. She is based in Longley Village where she actively engages in many different aspects of creative life, from building kinetic artworks to growing a garden.
