Dogs on the Domain

The City’s annual Dogs on the Domain is a must-go social gathering for all dogs, dog owners, dog trainers, dog lovers and those who are passionate about all things dogs in Hobart.

Held on Sunday 13 October 2019 at the Soldiers Memorial Oval, Queens Domain, from 10 am until 1 pm the program of activities will offer something special for you and your canine companions.

Furry fashionistas will have a pawfect opportunity to parade their stylish outfits in the Fancy Dress competition. There will be demonstrations by the Hobart Dog Training Club to showcase the best of dog performance.

If you think your pooch is the canine mini-you, how about a chance to impress the crowd with the resemblance in the Dog-Owner Look-Alike contest? Or maybe your pet is very enthusiastic to show their waggiest tail or some amazing tricks they can do?

Come to the Dogs on the Domain to enjoy all these activities and much more.

All money raised on the day from the barbecue and drinks stalls are donated to the Dogs Home of Tasmania, Hobart Dog Walking Association and Hobart Dog Training Club.

Important note: We know that greyhounds are generally friendly and gentle dogs and they make fantastic companions. In Tasmania, however, there is a compulsory requirement for pet greyhounds to wear a muzzle in public. Don’t forget your dog’s Green Collar, if your dog has passed the National Temperament Testing Assessment. Alternatively, please make sure your furry friend is wearing a muzzle.

12.45 pm	Lucky paw prize draw
