Dark Mofo and City of Hobart events

The City of Hobart once again is delighted to be a proud partner of the festival which returns for its seventh year.

The City has been supporting Dark Mofo since 2013. Along with the funding, our staff across the organisation have been providing a wealth of expertise to ensure the festival runs smoothly.

As part of the 2019 sponsorship agreement, the City assists Dark Mofo in running the Winter Feast and the new Dark Path installation which replaces the Dark Park traditionally held at Macquarie Point.

Dark Mofo + City of Hobart Winter Feast

Last year’s event was attended by 86 000 people and there is no doubt this year’s event will be just as popular, with 90 stalls – including 25 new stallholders – and presenting the best Tasmanian produce and masterfully crafted menus developed collaboratively by local and mainland chefs.

There will also be a free activity for children under 10 years, called Fire and Ice. This activity encourages children to touch and taste unusual foods. More information.

The path is a long walk, with parts of the track not sealed. The path is also subject to weather so guests are encouraged to dress accordingly. For mobility assistance, please contact festival organisers directly.
