The Tasmanian branch of WIFT (Women in Film and Television) Australia will host a live-stream of All About Women, via the Sydney Opera House, on Sunday 10 March in Hobart.

Designed to make you think and push boundaries, All About Women is a vibrant day that asks questions about gender, justice and equality.

The satellite event is a chance to bring a local audience together to engage and meet socially in Hobart as part of a nation-wide broadcast of talks and ideas presented live from the Sydney Opera House for International Women’s Day.

To be held at The Loop, Hobart's recently installed public art platform for digital art in the city, the day will kick-off noon, with refreshments available on site.

There will be a panel discussion first up, hosted by WIFT, exploring issues of particular relevance to Tasmanian women. Speakers include Dr Lucy Tatman, Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Gender Studies at UTAS; young filmmaker and pro-choice activist Jordan Fassina; Glynis Flower, the former Executive Officer of Women's Health Tasmania; and Dr Louise Richardson-Self, also from UTAS, whose current research project involves investigating hate speech against women online.

The live-stream will begin at 1.15 pm on The Loop and continues through until 5.30 pm. Topics for discussion include #MeToo, Year Two, Feminism in the Arab World and Leading While Female.

Audiences are welcome to drop in and out for the informal screening, with seating such as bean bags available.
