100 - A celebration of Tasmania's super seniors

A celebration of Tasmania's super seniors

Every picture tells a story.

See what 100 years of life looks like at an art exhibition highlighting the experiences, memories and life history of our most senior citizens.

The Centenarian Portrait Project by Teenagers is an uplifting initiative matching teenage artists with some of Tasmania's oldest residents.

From storytelling, reminiscing, joy and laughter, comes unique portraits, a gift and friendships to treasure between the generations.

You are invited to meet Tasmania's centenarians and discover how each artist captures a moment of a 100 year life.

The exhibition is free and wheelchair accessible.

Official Launch

2 pm | Saturday 2 July 2022

Read more about the The Centenarian Portrait Project by Teenagers on the Embraced website.

Created by Embraced Inc in 2017, The Centenarian Portrait by Teenagers has arrived in Tasmania after renditions of the program were rolled out in both South Eastern Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne.

As many of our participants are vulnerable to COVID-19, we encourage all gallery-goers to wear masks.

This initiative is sponsored by the Commonwealth Department of Health; supported by the Australian Human Rights Commission; sponsored by Events Tasmania and supported by the City of Hobart.
