1 Day Interfaith Festival

This is a free, family-friendly event open to the public with discussions from representatives of the major faith traditions, musical and cultural performances and food.

1 DAY is a festival that will celebrate human spirituality…

It will celebrate and validate the spiritual faith traditions that have captivated human consciousness for millennia.

It will acknowledge the diversity and richness of human spiritual experience while promoting the essential oneness of the human need for transcendence, peace, and happiness.

It will honour and elevate the perennial values that permeate the faith traditions: grace, kindness, patience, truth, beauty, goodness, enlightenment, humility, devotion, compassion, wisdom, and love.

It will highlight the importance of spiritual practices that uplift the human mind and soul.

The 1 DAY Festival will take place on Saturday the 23rd of February, 2019 at the Hobart Town Hall, from 10.00am to 5.00pm.

Program Details

This is a free, family-friendly event open to the general public.

The programme will include a series of brief addresses from representatives of the major faith traditions and other spiritual groups on the theme:

 "In today's troubled world, how can religious peace, unity, and harmony be achieved?"

These will be interspersed with musical and cultural performances from various religious and cultural groups here in Hobart.

In addition, the festival will offer for purchase a beautiful selection of locally prepared foods and refreshments from various ethnic and cultural groups.
