Promoting arts and culture
If you want to promote your events to residents and visitors of Hobart, you have a range of options available to you.
Hobart City Guide Facebook Page
The Hobart City Guide provides a forum to celebrate the events, activities, people, places and scenery that make Hobart special. This is an interactive online guide to the what and where of what’s on. Contact email@example.com with information about your event.
Creative Hobart Poster Poles
The City of Hobart has installed poster poles in the city centre, on the waterfront and in North Hobart. These are free to use and available for you to hang your posters or fliers. The poles work on a first-in, best-dressed principle, and we recommend you return every couple of days to paste up more of your posters in case they have been covered by someone else’s event.
Creative Hobart e-news
Creative Hobart e-news gives you a snapshot of current and upcoming projects, what’s on around town, new ideas and inspirations. If you would like to propose an article for the e-news, please email details to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. While we can't include everything that is happening, we want to stay in the loop and share your news.
Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre
The Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre is operated by the City of Hobart. It is run by over 20 enthusiastic, multilingual and knowledgeable staff and more than 50 volunteers who are available to help visitors plan their visit to the city and the state.
Arts and culture are an attractive part of anyone’s visit to Hobart and various activities are promoted through the centre using brochures, posters and information provided to the staff and volunteers. Most visitors are in town for just a few days so promoting your activities close to the day or days when they happen is the most effective way to access new audiences.
Creative Hobart Salamanca Stall
This is a great chance to expand your audiences and test the market. Creative Hobart is partnering with Salamanca Market to offer temporary access to a Salamanca Market stall for artists and creative community groups. You might already sell online or have a body of work ready to show. For more information visit the Pop-Up Creative Hobart page.
Tasmanian Arts Guide
This is a guide to the best creative places and entertainment in Hobart and across Tasmania, managed by Arts Tasmania. For information on how to contact or contribute to the Tasmanian Arts Guide, contact Arts Tasmania (external website).
