Winners of the 2009 Dr Edward Hall Environment Awards
The Hobart City Council and sponsors would like to congratulate the winners of the Dr Edward Hall Environment Awards for 2009. The winners were announced at an Awards Ceremony held in the Hobart Town Hall on Friday 13 November 2009.
Primary Project (three equal placed winners)
Winners - Blackmans Bay Primary School for their project titled "Sustainable Scholars".
Snug Primary School for their project titled "Students working to make Snug a more sustainable school".
Taroona Primary School for their project titled "Mission not impossible".
Primary Art
Winner - Kate Easther, Taroona Primary School for her artwork titled "Complex problem, simple answer simple living"
Community Groups
Winner - Cool Pool Tas for their submission titled "Walk the talk, walking car drives away climate change"Runner Up - South Hobart Solar Group for their submission titled "Solar panels and hot water system to reduce our carbon footprint".
Partnerships
Winner - Tasmanian Land Conservancy for their submission titled " Landmark partnership protects national values of the Vale of Belvoir".
