In addition to the major capital works projects undertaken by the Council, the City is continuously investing in a range of projects aimed at making Hobart a more liveable city. Some of the projects currently taking place across Hobart are listed below.

Sandy Bay Road Walking and Cycling Project

The Sandy Bay Road Walking and Cycling project is part of the Council's vision to achieve sustainable transport outcomes and make Hobart a more liveable and people-friendly city. Construction is currently underway for stage three of the project, which involves on-road painted bike lanes on each side of Sandy Bay Road between Wayne Avenue and Taroona. Cascade Strategic Land Review

The City of Hobart and Cascade Brewery are embarking on a joint planning project for 250 hectares of Cascade Brewery bushland located between Hobart’s suburban fringe and kunanyi / Mount Wellington. Find out more here:Cascade Strategic Land Review

Upgrade to playground at Wellesley Park

The City of Hobart is planning to undertake works to upgrade the playground area at Wellesley Park, South Hobart and would like to here from you.

North Hobart Cultural Skate Park Improvements

The City of Hobart is undertaking urgent improvements and maintenance works to the North Hobart Cultural Skate Park. The park will be closed for one week from Friday 28 October until Friday 4 November 2016 inclusive. Read more here: North Hobart Cultural Skate Park Improvements

West Hobart Recreation Ground Surface Works
