Town Hall Time Capsule
We are putting together a time capsule to be opened on the 200th anniversary of the Town Hall in 2066.
If you have a story or memento of the Town Hall you’d like to share with Hobartians 50 years from now, please register on the Your Say Hobart page. You can also share your story on the Town Hall Facebook page or drop into the Hobart Town Hall between 8.15 am and 5.15 pm.

Hobart Town Hall 150th Anniversary Design Award
The City of Hobart is seeking entries from Tasmanian Designers for a major commission to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Hobart Town Hall. Shortlisted designers will be invited to develop a concept for a three dimensional object to be displayed in a public exhibition at the Plimsoll Gallery in December 2016.
The winning concept will be offered a major 3D aquisitive design commission to the value of $20,000, and the piece will become part of the City of Hobart's permanent collection to be publicly displayed within the Town Hall.
