Bushcare

Over the years many of the bushland reserves around Hobart have become degraded and native animals and plants have disappeared.   The Bushcare Program aims to involve the community in the on-ground management of Hobart's Bushland Reserves.  Bushcare Groups meet regularly to undertake weed removal, planting, water quality and  wildlife monitoring to restore the natural environment.  The Bushcare Adventures Program aims to give people an appreciation of the natural environment through activities such as nature walks, wildlife spotlights and school holiday activities.

For further reading on Bushcare related matters, the attached Book list may provide a handy resource.
