The Council works with the community to guide our city's future growth and development while preserving our heritage.
To assist in developing the future planning directions for the city, the Hobart City Council has undertaken a number of studies, reports and strategies.
The Strategic Plan is the Council’s principal policy statement and the vehicle through which it will exercise its leadership of the City and its community.
Other important strategies include Equal Access, Youth programs, Community Safety, Public Art and a Drug and Alcohol Strategy.
It is important that Council ensure that its efforts in the provision of services and facilities for its older community keep pace with changing needs and trends. With this in mind, the Council has developed a Positive Ageing Strategy.
